The Crescent

Parramatta Park’s spectacular outdoor venue, The Crescent, is one of Sydney’s most sought-after major outdoor event spaces. Regular programming for The Crescent Summer Series includes a mix of free outdoor concerts and ticketed music festivals.

Some of the biggest names in music have played The Crescent over the years. It’s been home to MTV’s Beats & Eats, the legendary Harvest and FOMO festivals and the Tropfest short film competition. Sydney Symphony Under the Stars has been held each summer since 2007.

Forming a natural amphitheatre along Parramatta River, The Crescent is a purpose-built event space designed for concerts, festivals and performances for audiences of up to 18,000. It boasts a 2500 m2 paved stage platform, power and water/pump-out points and, in summer, a 20m concert stage and back-of-house, designed as a plug-and-play venue for hire by promoters and festival organisers.

These features are the product of a $6 million infrastructure investment.
